Commissioned from the summer of 2019, the new funicular trains are more modern and have a large panoramic window.

These allow you to connect the valley to the ski area in 7 minutes. The funicular is directly accessible from Bourg Saint Maurice train station.

Upgrade work at the Aiguille Rouge continues!

Architectural unity and natural light

The Aiguille Rouge departure terminal truly is a one-of-a-kind structure, clad entirely in deep, understated and elegant black – just like the Varet chairlift departure and arrival terminals. Vast windows have been installed to bring plenty of natural light inside, creating a real “wow factor” for the 600,000 people who wait here to access the high point of the ski resort each and every year.

In harmony with nature

The Aiguille Rouge footbridge was designed and built in conjunction with the Hauts de Villaroger Nature Reserve to limit its impact on the surrounding plants and wildlife in this biodiversity-rich setting. There’s also an educational trail covering the entire site to inform and raise awareness among visitors.

What’s more, solar panels on the Aiguille Rouge and Varet chairlift terminals will boost the resort’s renewable every production capacity.

A fun, contemplative experience

The ski resort is packed with fun and contemplative experiences, so there’s always a new adventure to be had every day. Choose from one of the many unusual options on offer and get right into the action!
