Shiver Hunter - Results

A successful first running of the SHIVER HUNTER took place at the heart of Les Arcs’ mountain biking area!

Organised by All Mountains Events and Les Arcs, this race was a great combination of two mountain biking disciplines: endurance and downhill.

The race in figures:

> 2 days of racing
> 69 competitors (from the 4 corners of France, Belgium and even the United Kingdom!),
> 3000m of vertical descent,
> 24.7km of special sections,
> 1 mass start
> 1500€ of prize-money shared between 5 male winners and the 2 best women!

After familiarising themselves with the course on Friday, the riders set out on Saturday’s 3 timed specials. These met with the unanimous approval of the competitors! A number of unlimited sectors, some good linking on the 3 courses, stopwatches and volunteers: everything came together so that the runs went smoothly!

It was just 30 minutes after an impressive group start, that Christophe Saint-Aubin, a local from les Arcs, crossed the finish line. At ease on his home ground, he was able to manage the course which he knew well; a course considered difficult and very physical by the riders.

MEN’S PODIUM, MASS-START

1st Christophe SAINT-AUBIN, 31:48.28
2nd Tom GARCIA, 31:49.77
3rd Robin CASTAGNE, 31:51.23
4th Vincent HAULET, 32:44.34
5th Alexandre SICARD, 33:00.68

WOMEN’S PODIUM, MASS-START

1st Florence ROUILLON-LECHERE, 58:05.22
2nd Lise MARIE, 1h06:24.73

<link http:>Vincent Pernin, a member of the <link http:>Team Riders Les Arcs, on the 2nd row of the grid, finished in 9th place in 33 minutes, 1 minute and 33 seconds behind the winner. The result was all the more satisfying for a DH and Freeride specialist, not really used to endurance.
