How and when is artificial snow produced ? For what purpose ? And is it so different from its atmospheric counterpart ? What are the ingredients of artificial snow ? Air, water and cold !

Nothing is left to chance in order to make it possible to produce it. It requires a precise mastery of the weather conditions, the aerology of the sites, and the level of humidity in the air.

Some people call them "snow makers" and they are able to produce different qualities of snow, depending on the desired use, from compact snow to make a good sub-layer in pre-season, to freshly fallen powder that is very pleasant to ski.
