In Les Arcs - Bourg Saint Maurice, energy sufficiency is not new!

Against the backdrop of the energy crisis, energy sufficiency has become the unavoidable reiteration of this autumn. In Les Arcs - Bourg Saint Maurice, we have already been working for several years on a more responsible and less energy-consuming model. Let's take a look at an adventure that began well before the crisis.

A step ahead of the French government's sobriety plan

Committed for several years to an eco-responsible approach, our territory has multiplied actions to consume less and better:

Improving energy performance
Renovation of public buildings and ski chalets

Reducing the consumption of public lighting
Switch to LED & street lighting switched off at 11pm

Energy production
Installation of photovoltaic panels (mountain area and municipality)

Promoting low impact mobility
Train + funicular = Direct access to Arc 1600

Choosing alternative energies for heating
Wood heating for Arc 1600 and the Arc 1800 swimming pool

Sobriety plan for the coming winter

All united, here are the actions of this winter to reduce our consumption without impacting your quality of stay:

Territory of Les Arcs - Bourg Saint Maurice

  -  Subsidy for thermal insulation of buildings
  -  Street lighting, signs and historic buildings switched off at 11pm
  -  Reducing the heating to 19°C in the buildings and 20°C in the administrative offices
  -  Drop of 1°C at Bourg Saint Maurice swimming pool

Les Arcs – Peisey Vallandry mountain area

Ski lifts

  - Eco-driving of ski lifts
  - Temperature control in chalets
  - Thermal renovation of buildings

Ski Slopes

  - Reduction of power consumption of catex & night lighting
  - Optimisation of the production of artificial snow

Service buildings and chalets

  - 1°C reduction in heating in all buildings
  - Optimisation of building, display and signage lighting

These measures will of course be adaptable as the situation evolves. The above list is not exhaustive.
