Paradiski turns 20!

Discover the surprises in store for your birthday.

It was 20 years ago that the resorts of Les Arcs, La Plagne and Peisey Vallandry said yes to each other. 20 years since the Vanoise Express, this extraordinary cable car, was built to link the unexpected.

More than just a link between these three resorts, the Vanoise Express has been the setting for some extraordinary experiences. Each of the cultural and sporting events was a world first, created 380 metres above the ground: two artistic decorations for the cabins by the famous Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, the Sky Dinner with Michelin-starred chef Stéphane Froidevaux, the Gravity highline traverse between the two cabins by tightrope walkers Julien Millot and the late Tancrède Melet, and the spectacular mountain bike trail tricks performed by three riders, including world champion Kenny Belaey.

All these memorable events had a single aim: to connect people, generations, horizons and cultures. In 2023, on the strength of its 20th anniversary, Paradiski will continue to dare, making the mountains a place where people can come together.

For its 20th anniversary, Paradiski is thinking big, really big!

To celebrate this precious age, we've invited land artist Saype to join the party.

He will be creating two monumental frescoes on the snowy slopes of Paradiski. World-renowned for his ephemeral frescoes on grass using 100% eco-responsible paint, Saype has accepted the artistic and technical challenge of painting on snow. For Saype, this project "is an opportunity to carry out a creative and poetic challenge, in an immense, pure and immaculate natural environment". Through his art, Saype seeks to connect people! The choice of Saype was a natural one, because his approach to painting in an eco-responsible way and his concept of art as a way of impacting on people's attitudes and society without impacting on nature were immediately appealing.

To discover these two giant frescoes, we invite you to visit the Vanoise Express cable car stations at Montchavin Les Coches and Peisey Vallandry from 16 December, where you can watch the making-of of these works!
