French Canoe Kayak Championships from July 21 to July 27, 2025
Bourg-Saint-Maurice whitewater stadium.
Located on the Haute-Isère river, this world-renowned natural site is one of the most technical in the world. It has hosted three Canoe-Kayak World Championships (1969, 1987, 2002), a unique record. A spectacular setting in the heart of the Alps, ideal for top-level competitions.
Slalom - Olympic discipline
Race against the clock on a course of 18 to 25 gates.
- Green gates: downhill
- Red gates: to be cleared on the way up
Each touch adds a 2-second penalty. Ranking is based on two heats.
Kayak Cross - New for the Paris 2024 Olympics
Intense event with 4 competitors simultaneously.
- Start from a ramp over 2 m high
- Passage through gates, 360° rotation, contact allowed
-First to the finish wins the race!
Canoe or kayak: the differences
- Kayak: seated paddler, double paddle
- Canoe: paddler kneeling, single paddle
From Tuesday 22 to Sunday 27 July 2025 on Tuesday between 8.30 am and 5 pm. On Wednesday between 8.30 am and 5 pm. On Thursday between 8.45 am and 4 pm. On Friday between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm. On Saturday between 8 am and 5.30 pm. On Sunday between 9 am and 3 pm.
