Try ski touring for a different way of getting about the mountains!
Ski touring is the way to get up the steep slopes at the heart of the Alpine landscape like a mountaineer. «Seal skins» fitted under the skis for the climb enable you to lift your heel and turn happily!
There’s no need to panic when going downhill. All you have to do is take off the skins, lock the heels and enjoy Alpine skiing as you know it.
You will need:
- A pair of light and above all short touring skis
- A pair of the ski touring bindings
- A pair of ski touring boots
- Self-adhesive seal skins
- Hiking equipement such as a ruckack for carrying your skis if necessary, suitable clothing...
- Not forgetting: shovel, probe et ARVA for when you venture off the marked pistes

This new, contemporary chalet was built in 2024. It is located one kilometer from the center of Bourg Saint Maurice on the sunny side.
It is located in a quiet, unoverlooked hamlet, 3 minutes by car from the center of Bourg Saint Maurice and 20 minutes from Les Arcs.
The chalet is a 5-minute drive from the Funicular parking lot, which takes skiers to Les Arcs in 10 minutes. We can arrange a shuttle service on request (additional cost).
The surrounding resorts of La Rosière, Ste-Foy-Tarentaise, Val d'Isère, Tignes and Les 3 Vallées are all between 30 and 45 minutes away by car.
In summer, the chalet is perfect for road biking, mountain biking or hiking. We can arrange suitable routes with a van service for cyclists. Many other activities are nearby, including kayaking, rafting, paragliding, adventure courses, ....
House consisting of an 8-person gite and a 6-person gite that can be linked to create a large 14-person chalet. The chalet has 2 large living areas. When the whole chalet is rented out, one space is used as a living room, the other as a dining area.
The chalet has 14 single beds in 5 bedrooms, all with their own bathroom.
Sports facilities include 2 ski/bike rooms, 2 laundry rooms with washing machine, dryer, sink and lockers, repair equipment, boot dryer, ....
