As holders of the torchlight descent world record with 2,887 skiers set in 2016, will we be able to beat our own record and consolidate our position? Several resorts in Austria, France and Italy have tried to break the record, but in vain.

Usually reserved for ski instructors, this time the event is different! You are invited to take part in the entertainment of the holidays to beat the Torchlight Descent World Record.

Meet on Wednesday 22 February at 5pm at the start of Vagère (Arc 1800). To participate, you must have a level equal to the 2nd star (basic turns on parallel skis, skidding on blue and red runs).
Just like the Funicular, the TS cachette at Arc 1600 will be free on 22/02 from 3:30 p.m. to access the Vagère departure at Arc 1800.
Participation in the World Torchlight Descent Record is free and Ski pass not required.

- From 4pm: registration at the Vagère TS departure - Free
- 5pm: 1st ascent of the Vagère chairlift. At the top of the TS Vagère: hot chocolate offered + DJ set
- 6.30 pm: start of the torchlight descent. On arrival, firework and DJ set.

• Wear very warm clothing as well as a helmet for all age groups
• Don’t bring your ski poles, they get in the way when carrying a torch
• Torches will be handed out at the bottom of the Vagère chairlift after a bailiff has checked the number of participants. It is only to be lit on the express instruction of the organisers. The souvenir torch is offered to the participants.
• Entertainments and hot drinks will keep you going while you wait at the top of Vagère
• Minors must be accompanied by an adult
