The Freeride World Qualifier consists of around fifty competitions organised all over the world, bringing together the best freeriders. Each event is graded from 2* to 4*: the more stars a race has, the more points it earns for the winners. The riders with the most points from the Qualifier events are selected for the Freeride World Tour.
Competitions Freeride World Qualifier follow the same model as the Freeride World Tour competitions: judging, format, safety... The only changes are the difficulty of the routes, the altitude differences and access to certain exposed areas.
More and more talented youngsters are turning to off-piste terrain, following in the footsteps of their elders in the Freeride World Qualifier, and dreaming of gaining access to the prestigious elite tour of the Freeride World Tour.
In France, the vast majority of Freeride World Qualifier and Freeride Junior Tour competitions form the French Freeride Series. Evolution2, the company behind the creation of these competitions, brings its experience to bear in organising these international competitions. The aim of the French Freeride Series team is to promote freeride, which is in Evolution2's DNA.
For the competition French Freeride Series organised by Evolution 2, Arc 1950 Le Village will be welcoming freeriders from all over the world to compete on the best spots in the Les Arcs ski area. The Village will be transformed into a real HQ for freeriders.

The competitors will set off in the morning from the top of the selected face for the Freeride Junior Tour. Les Arcs is one of the few stops on their winter circuit offering multiple race-face options to delight these 14–18 year-olds.
Clean turns, jumps and tricks—along with commitment, control, fluidity and prudence—will be assessed by the judges, who award a score to each rider. The goal: earn points at every event throughout the winter and, why not, make the podium in Arc 1950. The village hosts all the event’s key moments.
