The legendary road of the Cormet de Roselend is yours! For half a day, enjoy the privatization of the route and cycle without worrying about vehicles.
With friends or family, between Tarentaise and Beaufortain, admire the breathtaking landscapes that unfold up to 1,968m in altitude.
Starting from Bourg-Saint-Maurice (840m) or Beaufort (765m), take this opportunity to ride this mythical road with your family, friends, or solo.
Join us at the Cormet de Roselend for a festive refreshment stop in front of a stunning panorama.
The most determined cyclists can complete the round trip from Bourg-Saint-Maurice to Beaufort, covering about 80 km.
To climb the 1,128m elevation gain over approximately 19 km from Bourg-Saint-Maurice, the most trained cyclists will take about an hour and a half, but you have the whole morning to enjoy the ride.
Motor vehicle and pedestrian traffic is prohibited outside designated areas and trails, on the D902 and D925 roads between the location "Bonneval," the Cormet de Roselend, and the intersection of the D925 and the access road to the location "Les Cernix" from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
- Free registration. Also possible without registration: just show up at the starting point on the day and start climbing!
- Open to all cyclists
- Participants welcomed from 8:15 AM at Place Castex (in front of the Dairy Cooperative) in Bourg-Saint-Maurice.
- Road closure: D902 and D925 from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM between Bonneval (Bourg-Saint-Maurice) and Méraillet, the intersection of D925 and the access road to Les Cernix (Beaufort).
- At the summit, a complimentary snack and musical entertainment!

This road linking Beaufortain and Tarentaise has seen several stages of the Tour de France and countless cycling enthusiasts, motorcyclists, and drivers… The Cormet de Roselend is an essential passage on the Route des Grandes Alpes, boasting a breathtaking 360° panorama.
On Friday, July 25, 2025, professional riders of the Tour de France will take on the 19th stage from Albertville to La Plagne, passing through the Cormet de Roselend.
On Sunday, July 20, nearly 16,000 amateur cyclists will attempt to complete the Étape du Tour, climbing from Beaufort to the Cormet de Roselend before descending to Bourg-Saint-Maurice and heading to La Plagne!
