Taking action for glaciers

From 20 to 22 March 2025

A Unique Festival

2025 will mark the launch of the first "Act for Glaciers" festival, taking place from March 20 to 22, 2025. This unprecedented event will bring together scientists, mountain industry stakeholders, elected officials, businesses, artists, and citizens to focus on the preservation of glacial and post-glacial ecosystems.

The festival is co-produced by the municipality, Marge Sauvage, Agir pour le Vivant, AIRCoop, and Actes Sud, with initial partners including the Ministry of Ecological Transition, Energy, Climate, and Risk Prevention.

These three days of festivities aim to foster collaboration among local stakeholders, raise awareness, and promote concrete actions for ecological transition.

The goal is to drive meaningful change both in local practices and mindsets, advocating for better management and protection of glaciers and natural spaces.

The "Act for Glaciers" project goes beyond a single event: it is part of a long-term initiative to preserve and protect the glaciers of Bourg Saint Maurice - Les Arcs.

The Program

Over three days, the festival will feature conferences, workshops, exhibitions, and artistic performances to encourage dialogue and the development of tangible solutions.
