To celebrate the end of the winter season, you can challenge yourself for 6 hours by completing as many ascents as possible on a 5 km course with 823 m of elevation gain. Take on the challenge on foot, on a marked trail from Bourg Saint Maurice to the arrival station of the funicular in Arc 1600.
Elite runners, competitors, leisure runners, families. A friendly event not to be missed.
The principle is simple: over 6 hours, complete as many uphill ascents on foot as possible between Bourg Saint Maurice and Arc 1600. Only the ascents are timed; the descent is done by funicular.
+ On the 5 km course over 6 hours:
- Solo or 2-person relay: Each runner must complete as many ascents as possible during the 6 hours; the descent is done by funicular from Arc 1600, open to anyone aged 18 or over.
- The Challenge: The Club des Sports de Méribel (Défi de l'Olympe 6h) and Tarentrail (Montée du Funi 6h) join forces to offer the “12h de montées en Tarentaise” Challenge in Solo or Relay format. The objective is the same for both events: complete as many ascents as possible in 6 hours.
The start will take place at 10:00 AM, at the funicular parking lot in Bourg-Saint-Maurice.
+ The Vertical Race: a single ascent between Bourg Saint Maurice and Arc 1600, open to anyone whose age category is cadet or above.

+ Children’s flat races near the funicular, – for children from the “éveil athlétique” category to “minimes”.
8:30 AM: Registration for the “Montée du Funiculaire” race and bib and chip distribution for La Montée du funi (solo, relay and challenge)
10:00 AM: Start of "La montée du funi" Solo, relay and challenge - 6-hour race - Bourg St Maurice > Arc 1600
10:00 AM -11:00 AM: Registrations for "Children’s races".
11:00 AM to 11:30 AM: Start of children’s races according to categories
12:00 PM: Awards ceremony for children’s races
12:30 PM -1:30 PM: Registration for the “Montée Sèche” race and bib and chip distribution for La Montée sèche - Bourg Saint Maurice > Arc 1600
2:00 PM: Start of “La Montée sèche”
3:20 PM: Last ascent allowed
4:30 PM : Awards ceremony for the 4 races: Solo, Relay, Challenge and La montée sèche
