To bring the summer season to a close and clear the decks before the first snowflakes arrive, we are organising our traditional rubbish collection operation on 2 September 2023, starting from Arc 1600. The aim is not only to clean up our resort, but also to raise awareness of the need for all generations to take greater responsibility in this area.
→ Register online to save time on the day and join the Mountain Riders association free of charge.
→ Meet at Place du Soleil in Arc 1600. It's easy to get here: take the free funicular from Bourg Saint Maurice or the inter-resort shuttle bus.
→ Don't forget your bags, gloves, water, sun cream/cap and hiking boots.
8h30 – Free access to the funicular from Bourg Saint Maurice
8h45 – Reception of participants at the Place du Soleil Arc 16
Before the big clean-up, we'll welcome you over a cup of coffee or hot chocolate for the little ones! Equipment will be distributed, teams split up and waste sorting teams set up.
9h15 – Departure for waste collection on the estate via TS Cachette.
The waste is taken to the collection point as it is collected, where it is sorted and weighed.
12h - A convivial meal.
The Stop Waste Tour in Les Arcs is above all a convivial event, so all participants are invited to share a lunch on the Place du Soleil in Arc 1600.
This initiative is being run in partnership with the Les Arcs Tourist Office, Bourg Saint Maurice, ADS (Domaine Skiable), Mountain Riders, Picture and the Haute-Tarentaise Community of Communes.
NEW
This year, there's something new to make the event even more fun!
- A special route for children near the station
- An Upcycling workshop with Picture, come and (un)sew some and prepare your kit for the start of the new school year.
- The chance to join a group with a mountain leader to discover more about the local flora and fauna, while protecting them and helping to clean up litter.
