Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc (UTMB) is a legendary international race. 171 km trail starting and finishing in Chamonix (Les Chapieux stage on the night of August 29-30, 2025).
Come and see these runners as they push themselves and their dreams to the limit, racing through the mountains around the legendary summit of Mont Blanc.
THE BENCHMARK IN THE WORLD OF TRAIL RUNNING
Created in 2003, the UTMB is the world's most legendary and prestigious trail running race. 171 km and 10,000 metres of ascent to circumnavigate Mont Blanc through Italy, Switzerland and France. A unique race that has transcended the practice of trail running and established itself as an iconic, world-renowned event.
Whatever the finishing time, from under 20 h to over 46 h, elite runners and thousands of amateurs alike share the same adventure on the same exceptional courses, carried along by the stunning beauty of the scenery and a common goal: crossing the finishing arch in Chamonix.
More than 2,300 athletes will set off from Chamonix, before heading to Les Chapieux by night, in a sumptuous setting on the way to the Aiguille des Glaciers (3,816 m) and the Col de la Seigne (2,516 m).
The first participants will arrive at Les Chapieux around 10:30 p.m., and will stay until 5 a.m. on Saturday August 30.
