The architecture competition

The 2nd edition of the architecture competition "Le Vernaculaire sans pastiche!

The commune of Bourg Saint Maurice - Les Arcs is launching an architectural competition for the construction of wooden structures and is inviting you to design a structure that reinterprets vernacular models as an immersive work of art: 

. Encouraging contemplation of the landscape 

. A place to gather with family and friends, whether local residents or tourists

. While blending in with the environment...

From design to construction, we're giving students from the Ecoles Nationales Supérieures d'Architecture the opportunity to imagine a project made entirely of (local) wood and to go from pencil to circular saw! Drawing inspiration from the past is all very well, but reinventing it is even better, without pastiche of course!

The Communication Prize was awarded to Chûta, from the École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Grenoble: Enzo Favero / Louise Missilier / Marie Rostang.
