From family strolls to energetic hikes, les Arcs’ summer area offers more than 200 km of walking trails with 6,700m of cumulated gross ascent. Truly somewhere for exploring the great outdoors with something for everyone …

Walking alone is a chance to dream and admire the scenery while enjoying the silence offered by wide open spaces.

Walking in a group becomes a moment for sharing and conversation. You can be accompanied by professionals who will be there to offer advice and show you our area and its hidden treasures.

When choosing the route which suits you best, you must take account of the weather, your physical fitness and, of course, your wishes. Take the time to gather information to discover all the opportunities on offer to you.

The free walking map will show you the routes in the les Arcs, Peisey-Vallandry, Villaroger and Bourg Saint Maurice sector. Also available to you is an IGN (UK= Ordonnance Survey) 1/35th scale map and the topographical map with more than de 60 marked routes on the les Arcs-Bourg Saint Maurice slope and the versant du Soleil. Path through the forest to arrive at the village “Les Maisonnettes” with its chapel. Beautiful view of the valley.

The start of the walk is via fairly steep stairs but what follows will quickly make you forget this inconvenience as the view over the valley is magnificent.

When you arrive in the village, you will "come face to face" with the chapel where a small bench will be waiting.

Descriptif « pas à pas »

1/ From the Chapelle de la Trinité, take the direction “Les Echines”.

2/ Just after taking the stairs, take the path on your left.

3/ The walk takes place on a sunny southern slope. through the forest.

4/ When you see the sky blue chapel, you have arrived at the village of Maisonnettes.

5/ The descent is initially on the road where you will cross the village of Villaret sur la Cote, then at the exit, 500 meters later, take the path which will take you towards the village of Chatelard.

6/ In this village, you have 2 options: either to take the path that goes down on your left, or to continue to the end of the village to continue in the forest towards the village of La Cote to get back to Chemin des Maisonnettes.
