Cyclists, welcome to the Upper Tarentaise, a bike-lovers’ playground.
Our region abounds in dedicated trails: bike paths, circuits for electric bikes and the legendary cols of the Tour de France.
You can explore splendid scenery all year round, whatever your level, and know that wherever you go, you can find dedicated accommodation and facilities.
Here in Bourg Saint Maurice – Les Arcs, the bike reigns supreme with 12 km of bike path, a pump track, plus the trails in the les Arcs – Peisey Vallandry Bike Park and 3 cols where you can push yourself to your limits!
This route takes you through an attractive part of the Haute Tarentaise, away from the main traffic routes and passing through typical villages that are still very much alive.

From Bourg-Saint-Maurice, the route begins as a warm-up to Villaroger, with its beautiful, steady ascent under the welcome forest canopy. Then the route really takes off, reaching Saint-Foy-Tarentaise and above all the hamlet of Le Miroir, a veritable showcase of traditional 17th-century architecture. The chapel adds to the village's old-world charm, making it the ideal place for a wonderful break. And so much the better, for the climb continues to side 1383 before descending to Montvalezan at the foot of La Rosière. Behind you, the Tignes dam fades into the distance, and once you've filled your water bottle, a winding road awaits you as you slalom through the high village of Seez, the gateway to Italy. You'll certainly be back to try and reach the Aosta Valley via the Petit Saint Bernard, but that's another story...
From 15/04 to 31/10.
