Property Owners’ Entertainments – Winter 2021 / 2022

All entertainments, activities, tours and picnics are provided at the expense of ADS – Ski Area in conjunction with its suppliers and the les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry Tourist Offices. All excursions are subject to weather conditions. Masks, are necessary, as well as the health pass.


TOUR OF THE IGLOO VILLAGE AND THE ICE CAVE – ARC 2000

Monday 3rd January
from 10:30am to 12:00pm

 Igloo Village – near the bottom of the Arcabulle chairlift (Arc 2000)

This is your opportunity to explore the IGLOO VILLAGE and its warm snow bedrooms, to wander through an unusual world at an altitude of more than 2000m, to travel through the galleries in the ICE CAVE and to take a break in the magical universe of the ICE BAR to enjoy a hot drink; all just for you!

Obligatory registration by email, before noon on the 2nd January: Contact “Référence Les Arcs” on reference@lesarcs.com, please specify the subject of your reservation and a mobile phone number in case of cancellation.

SKI TOURING INITIATION

Tuesday 11th January – 4pm – Meeting point at the Villards cablecar in Arc 1800

Initiation session accompanied by ski instructors on the Tétras circuit in Arc 1800. Equipped with seal skins under your skis and special touring bindings for the climb, it’s up to you to lift your heels for a half an hour climb through the forest! Just remove the skins and the bindings to ski downhill as usual.

Registration is compulsory by email, at the latest the day before – Monday 10/01, by noon to reference@lesarcs.com indicating the name of the activity and a mobile number to warn you in case of cancellation. Limited places available. Outings maintained subject to weather conditions.

Dedicated equipment is provided.

GUIDED TOUR OF THE CHAPEL OF NOTRE DAME DES VERNETTES 

Wednesday 19th of January - 2.45pm - Meeting point at the chapel of Notre Dame des Vernettes

Let yourself be carried away by the peacefulness of the place and discover the incredible history of this baroque chapel ! Take a short break and awaken all your senses! A little corner of paradise to be discovered without further delay with a guide from the Pays d'Art et d'Histoire and the FACIM Foundation.

BONUS: for those who wish, you can leave Plan Peisey free of charge on snowshoes accompanied by Xavier Dussonchet Pass Montagne, our mountain guide. A snowshoe walk allows you to immerse yourself in the calm of nature, to discover the forests, the snow fields, the mountain chalets and the beautiful panoramas ! Xavier will not fail to introduce you to his passion and tell you anecdotes about the area.

- Meeting point at 2.45pm in front of the chapel of Notre Dame des Vernettes for those who come on their own (allow 1 hour for an easy walk from the Parchey car park in Plan Peisey).

- Meeting point at 1pm at the Parchey car park in Plan Peisey for those who wish to come on snowshoes accompanied by Xavier Dusonchet (attention: only 12 places available).

ELECTRIC SCOOTER RIDE

Monday 24th of January - 10am – Meeting point at Evolution 2 Peisey-Vallandry

A new activity for the whole family: the electric scooter! Discover the snow-covered and unspoilt landscapes of Peisey-Vallandry and its surroundings on board this state-of-the-art machine. Thanks to their big wheels and their electric system, you can go everywhere easily and without effort! A very fun and easy way to get around!

Attention: very limited number of places and activity reserved for children over 10 years old!

Meeting point at 10am in front of Evolution 2 in Peisey-Vallandry. Skis and boots can be left on site.

BEHIND THE SCENES: SAFETY

Tuesday 1st February – 11am – Meeting point at the Col de la Chal : at the top of the Arcabulle and Transarc

With the growing popularity of all-mountain, free-rando and Fat skis together with the call of nature, learn about safety on the mountains with the ski patrol.

- PIDA presentation (Avalanche Control and Prevention Plan) : where, when and how to secure the ski area.

- An introduction to searching for avalanche victims and a dog handler demonstration

This exclusive opportunity with the alpine and ski professionals will open your mind to the importance and multitude of professionals working behind the scenes to ensure you ski in complete safety. 

A warm opportunity to get to know you better: the mountain’s dangers, off-piste skiing risks, the reflexes and safety measures needed to anticipate the risks.

TOBOGGAN 2000 MORNING

Monday 07 February 2022 - from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm – Meet at the Luge chalet, Col de la Chal (Top of the Transarc & Arcabulle)

Get on board for 3km of bends and riding thrills ! Track closed to the public for 2 hours just for you property owners !! 

EQUIPMENT (toboggan and helmet) + FREE ENTRY TO THE TRACK on presentation of a copy of this newsletter (may be on a smartphone).

No registration required. Track closed to the public from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm. Activity open to those aged over 10 and of a minimum height of 1m25. To take part in the activity, children aged 10 to 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Unaccompanied minors over 12 must provide the organisers with written parental permission and mobile number.

To access the toboggan track, all participants must be in possession of a valid lift pass for skiers or foot passengers.

Reminder: this sport carries a risk of accident so each participant must be properly insured.

FIRST TRACKS ON THE AIGUILLE ROUGE

Tuesday 15 February 2022

Exclusive outing ! Be the lucky ones to make the first turns on the freshly prepared Aiguille Rouge glacier.

Free breakfast from 10 am in the new B.O.B. restaurant, Varet panoramic terrace.

And so that everyone has a chance to take part in this original experience:

2 MEETINGS:

- 8.20 am: at the bottom of the Transarc gondolas skiers only – for owners in Arc 1800 (owners in Peisey-Vallandry and Arc 1600 will join them by shuttle): Ski all the way down to the bottom of the Varet

- 9.00 am at the bottom of the VARET gondolas skiers and pedestrians – for owners in Arcs 2000 and 1950 (joined by the other resorts) + AIGUILLE ROUGE cable car

Ski or walk all the way down to the top of the Varet before the glacier opens.

+ BREAK for breakfast at the B.O.B.

FREE OUTING (including breakfast)

Registration free but mandatoryno later than midday the day before in a Les Arcs/Peisey- Vallandry ski lift sales office subject to availability of places. Entries open from Saturday 12 February 2022.

All participants must be in possession of a valid lift pass. A minimum skiing level of 3 stars is required.

TOBOGGAN 1800 MORNING

Monday 21 February 2022 – from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm– toboggan shop, bottom of the Villards Telecabin

Having chosen your toboggan, board the Villards telecabin, get ready to start... and GO! Track closed to the public for 2 hours just for you property owners.

EQUIPMENT (toboggan and helmet) + FREE ENTRY TO THE TOBOGGAN TRACK on presentation of a copy of this newsletter (may be on smartphone).

No registration required. Track closed to the public from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm. Children aged between 4 and 7 must ride on the same toboggan as a responsible adult. To take part in the activity, children aged between 8 and 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Unaccompanied minors over 12 must provide the organisers with written parental permission and mobile number.

SPECIAL PROPERTY OWNERS’ FIRST TRACKS: « 4 in 1 »

Tuesday 1st March 2022

To start the day before everyone else!

We invite you to join us at the Col de la Chal at an altitude of 2600m, at sunrise for the privilege of making the first turns in the freshly groomed and silent Arc Valley before the slopes open!

Free breakfast from 8.30 am in the Chalet de l’Arc restaurant.

4 pre-openings of ski lifts for 1 departure per ski resort!

- 7.30 am at the bottom of the Vallandry gondolas for owners in Peisey-Vallandry, then the Transarc

- 7.30 am at the bottom of the Cachette chairlift for owners in Arc 1600, then the Transarc

- 7.45 am at the bottom of the Marmottes chairlift for owners in Arcs 2000 and 1950, then the Arcabulle

- 7.55 am at the bottom of the Transarc gondolas for owners in Arc 1800 (joined by Peisey-Vallandry and Arc 1600 owners)

SPECIAL OWNERS’ PARADISKI DAY

Tuesday 08 March - Meet at 10.00 am at the Col de la Chal for everyone (top of the Transarc and the Arcabulle)

A convivial day expected for everybody! Outing accompanied by ski instructors to explore Paradiski. 

Free lunch at midday in the la Plagne ski area (Drinks not included).

Return to Les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry around 3.30/4.00 pm 

FREE OUTING (including lunch)

Registration free but mandatory no later than midday the day before in a Les Arcs/Peisey- Vallandry ski lift sales office subject to availability of places. Entries open from Saturday 05 march 2022.

All participants must be in possession of a valid lift pass. A minimum skiing level of 3 stars is required.

A Paradiski one day extension will be free for property owners with a PASS Classique.

TRY OUT CLASSIC CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING AT THE PEISEY-VALLANDRY NORDIC CENTRE

Tuesday 15th March – 10:45am – meeting point at the Peisey-Vallandry nordic centre at Pont Baudin

An introduction to classic cross-country skiing accompanied by an ESF instructor. With your classic equipment, stay in the rail-trails for an hour of pure pleasure at the nordic site. You will be amazed by the beauty of this place we call « little Canada ». After the session you can continue to discover this lovely place on one of the many groomed walks.

Meeting point : in front of the nordic centre at Pont Baudin at 10:45am to collect your pass and your equipment (the trial session starts at 11o'clock with the ESF). You can use the free “Nordic Express” bus from Arc 1800 to access Pont Baudin. Check times HERE

You must register via email by midday 14th March at the latest: maisondesproprietaires@lesarcs.com confirming the name of the activity, the age and height of the participants and a contact mobile number in case of cancellation.

The number of places is limited.

GUIDED VISIT OF THE “FRUITIÈRE” MUSEUM AND THE “WINTER STABLE” AND “LIVE MY BEARDED VULTURE LIFE” EXHIBITIONS IN THE VILLAGE OF PEISEY

Tuesday 22nd March – 4pm - meeting point at the “Fruitière” museum in the village of Peisey

Discover Peisey-Vallandry’s cultural heritage with this 3 for 1 activity!  In small groups, visit the museum with Dominique Giono, a local character and our living memory of Peisey-Vallandry’s traditional costumes, discover our “winter stable” exhibition with Véronique Lemore who has gathered a collection of objects and paintings related to the equine world and discover the world of the bearded vulture with Thierry Arsac, deputy technical director at the Vanoise National Park.  You will learn more about this important part of Peisey-Vallandry’s history through these visits.

Meeting point : in front of the Fruitière museum in Peisey village (route de la forge) at 4pm. You can use the free bus “Nordic Express” from Arc 1800 then the free télévillage Lonzagne. Check times HERE.

SLIDE DOWN THE ZIP WIRE AND DISCOVER THE VARET PANORAMIC TERRACE

Sunday 27 March: from 9.40 am to midday – Meet on the Varet panoramic terrace

Screw up your courage and try the new winter attraction: The les Arcs Zip Wire!

Launch yourself from the top station of the Varet telecabin at an altitude of 2680m and soar over the Flying Kilometre (KL) piste. Length of the zip wire: 1800m with 520 m of vertical drop. Finish close to the Olympic Flame in Arc 2000.

For those who would like to watch the riders setting off and enjoy the new Varet panoramic terrace, free hot drinks will be served at the B.O.B.

To satisfy and accommodate as many people as possible on the Zip Wire, we are offering you the chance to try this new attraction free of charge SEATED and in PAIRS only. If you put your name down alone, you will be paired with another rider!

The ride will be closed to the general public for the 7 timeslots during the morning – 2 pairs per timeslot:  9.40 / 10.00 / 10.20 / 10.40 / 11.00 / 11.20 / 11.40

Entry instructions: 2 people maximum per family. Open to children weighing over 25kg and aged over 10. The difference in weight between the 2 people in the PAIR must not exceed 40 kg. The total weight of the 2 people in the PAIR must not exceed 150 kg (including equipment: clothing + helmet + ski boots). Wearing a helmet is recommended. Pregnant women and people fitted with a pacemaker are not permitted on the ride.

GUIDED TOUR OF THE NEW VALLANDRY AREA

Tuesday April 5 - 11 a.m. - Meeting at the Vallandry summit

More than a new gondola for a better access for beginners to the ski learning area,

the Vallandry creates a new comfort area for a relaxing break : toilets, picnic room, panoramic terrace and even a museum of mountain animals.

Our teams will welcome you and present these exceptional and high-end equipments (in french).

FREE VISIT.

MUSCLE RELAXATION SESSION - DISCOVERY OF THE CARRELEY TERRACE

Wednesday 13 April – 2:30 p.m. – Panoramic Terrace - top of the Carreley chairlift

Gentle breathing and some simple and easy warm-up and stretching exercises to introduce you to the idea of taking a relaxing break that is beneficial for your muscles during your day’s skiing !

One hour of well-being at an altitude of 2400m facing an exceptional view of Mont Blanc and the Tarentaise valley.

FREE ENTRY.

SUNSET ON THE AIGUILLE ROUGE

Saturday 16 April – Meet at 5.00 pm at the bottom of Aiguille Rouge cable car in Arc 2000

Every year, the ski area makes this original and exclusive outing available just to property owners!

A drink and tasting of regional produce at the top of the Aiguille Rouge at 3226m.

Ski down after the ski area closing with the piste patrols. An outstanding and unforgettable moment !!

Return to Arc 1600, Arc 1800 and Peisey-Vallandry by shuttle busses leaving from Arc 2000.

FREE OUTING. Places are limited.

YOU MUST PUT YOUR NAME DOWN no later than THURSDAY 14 APRIL, before midday, by sending an email to: proprietaires.ads@compagniedesalpes.fr indicating the name of the activity : "SUNSET", how many skiers and pedestrians will be there and a mobile number to confirm your registration or to notify you in case of cancellation.

All participants must be in possession of a valid ski (or pedestrian) pass. Pedestrians can go back down by cable car and gondolas. Please specify when putting your name down.

A minimum skiing level of 3 stars is required.

INFORMATION MEETING – OWNERS’ SPECIAL

Sunday 17 April at 6.00 pm in the Bernard Taillefer Centre in Arc 1800

Session introduced by Guillaume Desrues – Mayor of Bourg Saint Maurice/Les Arcs, Arnaud MOLLANGER, Ski area director  and Eric Chevalier, Manager of the Tourist Office.

Presentation (in French) of this winter’s results, up-coming investments, and news and an update on the relationship with secondary residents.

This meeting will end with a drink when everyone will be able to talk to representatives of the resort.


THE SWIMMING POOL IN ARC 1800

Monday 25 April – from 5pm to 7pm – Arc 1800 Swimming pool (entrance next to the Vagère chairlift)

For a relaxing end to your day, come and take a break in our wellbeing center.

Enjoy the swimming pool with its massaging jets, grotto, jacuzzi and wellness area with 2 hammams and 2 saunas, relaxation area and tearoom.

For those who prefer a sportier end to the day, you can test the equipment in the gym.
