Cycling up Cormet de Roselend from Bourg-Saint-Maurice

Considered one of the most beautiful climbs in the Alps, this pass offers a varied profile and a succession of landscapes to reach its summit at almost 2000 m altitude.

Descriptif

From the center of Bourg Saint Maurice, almost 20 km of climbing at 6% awaits you. From the start, you can enjoy the view over the valley, but the passage through Bonneval les Bains marks the start of the difficulties, in particular a winding section over 2 km at an average gradient of 8%. The passage to Pont Saint Antoine offers a brief respite before a long finish in the middle of the mountain pastures, with views of the surrounding peaks.

The ascent follows the D902 from Bourg Saint Maurice and is marked out in its entirety. It is divided into 4 main sections: the ascent above the valley, the passage of the switchbacks, the entrance to the Chapieux valley and the finish.
