From simple walks and mountain hikes , nothing can be improvised so here are some tips before leaving.
Precautions
Avoid going into the mountains alone and/or always let someone know the purpose of your outing.
Make sure of the route to follow and its difficulties before your departure: beware of the often slippery grassy slopes which can dominate rocky cliffs and do not venture into the bed of the streams.
Weather report
Don't forget to check the local weather forecast: 08 92 68 02 73 or 3250. In case of bad weather: fog, rain, snow... turn back. Some routes may present difficulties related to weather or snow conditions depending on the season.
Equipment & advice
Hiking shoes, light clothing to protect yourself from the sun as well as from the cold or the rain, sunglasses, gloves, hat and/or cap, sunscreen. strengthen your balance.
Do not forget to hydrate and eat regularly, respect recovery periods by taking breaks.
Environment
To keep the mountain intact, keep it clean by carrying a small bag to take your rubbish back down to the valley. The trails require a lot of maintenance work. Do not take shortcuts which, while digging, channel rainwater and deteriorate the paths.
The mountain, a shared space
In summer the mountain pastures are grazed by herds. A few rules allow you to enjoy the mountains while respecting the work of the breeders and the tranquility of the animals.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES
All our activities are lead by qualified instructors and take place every day of the summer season.
The Arc Aventures by Evolution 2 whitewater base is located in Bourg St Maurice on the banks of the Isère river. All our river-based activities start there. We provide free transport for our customers, from the Bourg St Maurice Funicular to our whitewater base in Bourg St Maurice.
The Mont-Blanc Tree-top Adventure course, has time-slots every 30 minutes from 9:30am to 4pm from Sunday to Friday.
We have worked with the Ecole de parapente of Les Arcs for many years and they share our Tournavelles office Arc 1800 during the summer season.
Booking in advance is essential for all activities.

● Rafting – 9am / 2 pm
Discovery of Isère €65: Bourg St Maurice – Gothard (approx. 1 hour), from 8 years old*
Integral Isère €75: Bourg St Maurice – Centron (1h45-2h approx.) from 12 years old*
Private boat €450 per boat: Discovery or Integral course, 4 to 7 people per boat depending on the conditions.
● Hydro-speed swimming – 9am / 2 pm
Discovery Isère €70: Bourg St Maurice – Gothard (1h10 approx.), beginners from 13 years old*
Plus Isère €95: Bourg St Maurice – Aime (1h30 approx.), advanced level from 16 years old*
Integral Isère €110: Bourg St Maurice – Centron (2pm only 2h15 approx.), advanced level from 16 years old*
● Canyoning
Eau-Rousse €64: level 1 (duration approx. 1h30) from 10 years old*
Pussy €69: level 2 (duration approx. 2 hours) from 12 years old*
Montmin €79: level 1 (duration approximately 3h) from 10/12 years old*
● Mont-Blanc Tree-top Adventure Course: €29
Open Sunday to Friday. Time-slots every 30 mins. Adults and children from 1.30m with one adult participating for each child under 1.45m.
● Paragliding
Tandem discovery flight €130: adults and children from 5 years old, 25kg - 100kg max.
Performance tandem flight €180: adults and children from 12 years old, 45kg - 100kg max.
Initiation, Improvement and Progression courses: €650 in July & August
Adventure Pass: 211€
Combined thrills in 3 activities: Isère Integral Rafting, Tree-Trop adventure course and Paragliding tandem discovery flight. Subject to conditions, activities must be for one participant and over the course of one trip.

Arc 1800: Arc Aventures main office, Les Tournavelles (in the centre of the resort in front of an artificial climbing wall and the swimming pool clocktower) - Villards village. Open 7 days a week.
Bookings can also be made for certain activities at the Intersport shops in Bourg Saint Maurice at the funicular station and in Arc 1600. Also in Arc 1950 at the Evolution 2 shop near the clocktower.
