Born from the richness of the Haute-Tarentaise territory, local products and know-how tell, above all, a story of the mountains. Until the middle of the 20th century, the agro pastoral system was adapted to the difficult conditions of the mountains: exploitation of mountain pastures, dairy farming for the production of different cheeses (Beaufort “Prince des Gruyères”, Tomme, etc.). In each village, there was a great diversity of craft activities of which many testimonies remain.

En été dans la Vallée des Glaciers, la vie pastorale s'organise autour des troupeaux : traite et fabrication du fromage.

Dans des paysages époustouflants, le petit hameaux de la Ville des Glaciers est situé à 1800m d'altitude dans le massif du Mont Blanc.
Dans un chalet d'alpage venez rencontrer des alpagistes. Cette visite se termine par une dégustation de fromages.
RDV : devant l' Office de Tourisme, place de la Gare.
Réservation obligatoire. Places limitées.
Prévoir des chaussures adaptées à la marche et un vêtement chaud (polaire, coupe vent...).
