Born from the richness of the Haute-Tarentaise territory, local products and know-how tell, above all, a story of the mountains. Until the middle of the 20th century, the agro pastoral system was adapted to the difficult conditions of the mountains: exploitation of mountain pastures, dairy farming for the production of different cheeses (Beaufort “Prince des Gruyères”, Tomme, etc.). In each village, there was a great diversity of craft activities of which many testimonies remain.

Des l'histoire des chalets en passant les bénédictions des troupeaux ou encore les transhumances... c'est une découverte de la vallée qui porte aujourd'hui la station d'Arc 2000.
